4 May, 2005 mac mini

For someone who’s given mac users the stick for a long time (and who’s secret origin involves apple macintosh computers and the apples-for-dockets campain) I have to say that I’m incredibly pleased with the new mini I got yesterday, and with Mac OS X especially. Beneath the system’s beautiful and simple UI I am beginning to glimpse hidden depths of strength and robustness.

The box itself is cute and not that heavy. I’m so glad I waited out for this option instead of building a (less expensive) shuttle PC myself.

such a little stack

The only complaints I have (and they’re small) are: a) World of Warcraft doesn’t run as well as I’d like, and b) avi/wmv/mpg files seem to play rather poorly with lots of pixel loss.
